The Lupina Centre is pleased to announce the 2011-2012 Doctoral Scholarship recipients!

Michael Buttrey

Michael Buttrey is interested in how the narratives, theology, and practices of the Christian tradition can shape Christian communities – and society as a whole – as we all grapple with the strange new world of modern medicine. One of the themes he hopes to explore during his doctoral work is how the Church’s long meditation on the body can correct the modern desire to transcend all bodily limitations. Read More …

 

Ann Sirek

Ann Sirek, MD FRCP© graduated from medical school at the University of Toronto in 2004 and achieved her FRCP© in internal medicine in 1978. She has practiced her subspecialty,  endocrinology, in Kitchener Waterloo since 1979. She retired from her private practice in 2011 and continues part time at the Guelph Diabetes Centre as well as in a number of nursing homes in the KitchenerWaterloo-Cambridge area. Read More …
